Swedish Massage is system of therapeutic, manual manipulations of the soft tissues of the body(muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia) for the purpose of enhancing circulation to restore and maintain health and overall well being.
Increased circulation aids in the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to all cells, and cleanses the tissues of cellular metabolic waste. Massage relaxes tense or spastic muscles, increases joint range of motion, soothes the nervous system, increases respiration, and reduces swelling from the accumulation of fluid in the extremities. Massage also assists in the removal of toxins from the tissues.
